LONGTOM

Longtom keeps the shop
while you build the product.

A company to register, a return to file, a receipt to book, a customer waiting on a reply. None of it is why you started. Longtom runs on your machine and does that half.

Not released yet In development. Nothing to download today.

Three things

Setting up

What to trade as, which registrations, in what order, and which one blocks which. Done once, then finished.

Longtom holds your country's thresholds, deadlines and authorities — it does not ask a model to guess them.

Bookkeeping

Bank statements in, receipts read out of your mail, rules learned as you categorise, a trial balance out, and the return prepared in the authority's own labels.

It prepares filings. It never lodges one — that is a statement you make, under your identity, at a government portal.

Support

A customer writes in. The message is classified, attached to whoever sent it, reproduced against your repository, and a fix comes back as a branch with a reply drafted beside it.

The patch lands in a temporary worktree. Your own checkout is never touched.

It uses the AI you already pay for

No model of its own, no API key wanted. It runs the coding CLI already on your machine — Claude Code, Codex, Cursor, Gemini, Aider or your own command — under your own subscription.

Most of it never asks a model

Rates, deadlines, fees and the order of the steps are compiled in, each with the date it was last checked against a primary source. Looking a fact up once costs one search; leaving it to a model costs one per user, every time.

The model is for what needs one: reading documents, reconciling a feed, drafting a reply.

Nothing leaves your machine

One folder holds the database, the documents and the backups. Secrets sit in a separate encrypted vault the database never sees. No account, no server keeping your books.

Zero runtime dependencies. Not few — none.

77 countries, each one actually known

Listing a country is a claim: the tax and its rate, the registration threshold, the return's name and its real due dates, which authority issues what, and the privacy law. Anything less is not offered.

Where no tax is named, the country levies none, levies it state by state, or is mid-transition — the profile says which.

The ones missing are a to-do list. Country data updates on its own, so a rate that moves does not wait for a new version.

Where it stops

Never payroll. Never an accounting package. Never multi-user.

Longtom is for a business of one. That is the whole product, not a stage on the way to something bigger.

Leaving is designed

Outgrow it and you move to your country's usual accounting package. The ledger exports OFX, and each country profile names the packages an accountant there will accept.

The records pack is one zip an accountant or a tax office can read.
